How to use the calculator
Estimate how much water to give the crop over the period, gross of system losses.
- Enter mean ET0, effective rain and period length
- Pick crop and stage for Kc, adjust Kr and deficit if needed
- Pick the system for efficiency, enter area and optional hours and spacing
Common mistakes to avoid
- Enter efficiency as a percent (90), not as a fraction (0.9).
- Over long periods rain offsets deficits of different days: use short periods.
